Everything You Need to Know about our Private Tuition, and Tutors
Frequently asked questions
In most cases, you have the option of either online tuition or face to face tuition. This can be in small groups online or one-to-one bespoke tuition. The only occasion where face to face tuition would not be available is if the tutor teaching the subject you have chosen does not live within travelling distance of your home.

It really is a case of thinking about which method of tuition would best suit your child or yourself (if you are the student).

Some students choose to use a combination of both. Some prefer to have their tutor with them in the room in their house. It really is about personal preference. We want to create the best learning environment for our students.
As of 1st September 2024, our tuition rates for new students are as follows: Secondary tuition (KS3) £35 - £45 per hour, Exam preparation tuition (GCSE/Functional Skills) £35 - £45 per hour, A Level tuition £40 - £48 per hour. Tuition rates vary as our self-employed tutors set their own rates. We charge a 20% fee in addition, and all rates stated are inclusive of our fee.
From time to time, your tutor may charge you for travel expenses if they are travelling outside of their local area. You will be notified of this Ad-hoc charge before tuition begins. It is charged to cover commodities such as petrol or paying for parking etc. If you have any concerns, please do get in touch.
The tuition fee covers your lesson with the tutor, marking of work and assessments, and any resources the tutor may use to deliver the lesson effectively. It does not include ad-hoc charges such as parking costs or additional mileage for long journeys made by the tutor to your home. Any additional charges will be communicated to you in advance.
