How Tuition Works

A Step-By-Step Guide

Finding the right support for your child should be straightforward and stress-free. From your first enquiry to their first breakthrough, here is what you can expect when working with us.

1. Initial Consultation

We start with a relaxed , informal conversation about where your child is currently at and what they need help achieving

  • Understanding Goals: Whether preparing for upcoming GCSE exams, targeting specific grade boundaries, building core confidence, or filling learning gaps.

  • Learning Styles & Needs: We discuss your child's personality, how they learn best, and whether in-person home visits or interactive online tuition suits your family's routine.

  • No Obligation:  A chance for you to ask questions and see if we are the right fit before committing.

2. Matching with the Right Tutor

Tuition is most effective when student and tutor click.

  • Tailored Selection: We pair your child with an experienced subject specialist based on their syllabus (exam board), level and individual temperament.

  • Vetted & Qualified:  Every member of our team is fully qualified, personally vetted, and holds an up-to-date Enhanced DBS certificate.

3.  First Lesson & Baseline Assessment

The first session focuses on putting your child at ease while identifying exactly where to focus.

  • Low-Pressure Environment: We break the ice and build rapport immediately, ensuring the student feels comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

  • Informal Diagnostic:  Rather than a stressful test, we use targeted problems to pinpoint strengths, misconceptions and priority areas.

  • Clear Action Plan:  Following the lesson, we agree on a targeted roadmap tailored to your child's timeline and learning pace.

4. Ongoing Lessons & Visible Progress

Consistency and communication are central to lasting results.

  • Targeted Sessions:  Each weekly lesson builds core understanding, exam technique and independent problem-solving skills.

  • Parent  Feedback: Reg ular updates after sessions so you always know what has been covered, how your child is progressing and where their confidence is growing.

  • Flexible Adapting:  As school mocks or exams approach, sessions shift to past paper practice, timing strategies and revision techniques.
